Our founder and managing director
Auxa Life Sciences was founded in 2026 by our managing director, James Woolnough. ​A medical writer himself with 10+ years' experience working in medium to large market access consultancies, James saw first-hand how corporate bureaucracy stifles innovation and frustrates collaboration with clients. He therefore built and launched Auxa, with the vision being to provide an agile, expert, meticulous, and truly collaborative medical writing consultancy to the pharmaceutical and MedTech industries.

Originally from New Zealand, James migrated to the UK in 2002. He resides in Coventry with his wife and their four young children. James has a BSc in biomedical sciences from King's College London and a PhD in food chemistry from Massey University.
